Many impoverished families and Child Care Institutions have felt the impact of the COVID-19 virus in an economic way. LWB is pleased to step forward in these difficult times by providing food to those who are struggling to support themselves and their children with this most basic need. With this effort, we are not only providing a life sustaining gift, but also hope for the future.
Even when children in the vulnerable segments of the community are fed enough to survive, they are often lacking in the nutrition that is required to thrive. For this reason, LWB is pleased to support children with nutritional drinks, immunity boosting supplements, and fruits and vegetables that are high in vitamins and zinc.
There are a number of supplies that can sometimes be in short supply in Child Care Institutions, the slum areas, and in impoverished families. These include things like fever reducing medicines, masks, sanitizer, and water purification tablets. When these needs arise due to crisis (e.g., cyclone damage, COVID-19 pandemic), we are happy to provide support in this way.
