When Corporate Meets Community

  • 12 Jul, 2024

This week, our children had a special visitor who left an indelible mark on their young minds. Mr. Raghumoni Chatterjee, Deputy Manager of the CSR department at SRMB Steel, graced us with his presence, bringing with him a wealth of wisdom and encouragement.

The anticipation was evident as our students arrived early, rushing through their exams with unusual haste. Their excitement was justified when Mr. Chatterjee stepped in, greeted by a chorus of warm welcomes from our enthusiastic bunch.

What followed was a session that transcended the usual corporate-community interaction. Mr. Chatterjee spoke passionately about the power of education, emphasizing its role as a catalyst for change in their lives. His words resonated deeply, inspiring our children to dream big and work hard towards those dreams.

It was heartening to see a corporate leader take time out to connect with these young minds. Mr. Chatterjee’s presence demonstrated Corporate Social Responsibility in action, showing that meaningful engagement extends far beyond monetary donations. His personal interaction with our students highlighted the human side of corporate outreach, proving that direct involvement can create lasting impressions and inspire young minds in ways that financial support alone cannot achieve.

As educators, we often speak about the importance of education. But when someone from the ‘outside world’ reinforces this message, it takes on a new meaning for the children. Mr. Chatterjee’s visit did just that, bridging the gap between classroom lessons and real-world success.

We’re grateful for such interactions that fuel our children’s aspirations and reinforce our mission of empowering through education.
